After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls. Look out for the night dwellers including the leopards, lions and hyenas, which, with a little luck, we will see before they retire during the hot sunny afternoon. Also expect to see numerous antelopes, warthog and various birdlife. .

After your lunch break, head out for a boat safari on the Nile. This unique cruise will take you along the river banks teeming with hippos and all the way to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Enjoy the unique sights of aquatic wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles and aquatic birds and the breathtaking views of the water falls as your guides share more information about this beautiful part of Uganda. Return to the lodge for the night.

We’ll take a flight to Kihihi where we’ll arrive in the early afternoon. Upon arrival at the airstrip, we’ll have a 2-3 hour transfer to Bwindi depending on where the permits are secured.Arrive during the early evening hours. Unwind in the peaceful forest side lodge as you prepare for the action filled day of gorilla trekking.

Arise early for breakfast, head to the park office at 08:00am for briefing. Thereafter, the rangers will walk us down the narrow forest paths through thick undergrowth, with the bird sounds in the background as you search for the gorilla families.

Trekking can take between 2-6 hours. However, once found the experience of watching these incredible primates in their natural habitat is well worth every ounce of energy expended on the tiring forest trails. It is most advisable for trekkers to be in good physical condition before embarking on the trails. Watch the Gorillas eat, groom and play. Packed lunched is offered during the day.

After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll transfer to lake Bunyonyi for the rest of the day. Arrive in time for lunch and thereafter spend the day at what is arguably one of Uganda’s most beautiful lodges.

This day will be spent cruising lake Bunyonyi. Our host, Joshua a local from the community will take us to different islands where we will see community life. We will visit local bars and a local brewery to see firsthand how millet beer is made.
